Living in the 21st century. Honestly, I think the gutter can be better than all the crap we eat by walking sheep-like on the street. But then, this is nothing but the Rhetorical-antiSocial. It's still just crap, only a different hand on the shovel..... I say the most important thing is a smile .... and thats it. -T

Victoria Day Weekend Adventure

It didn't rain...

It didn't pour...

no, the sky opened up and fell on us :P

For those wondering how the Matthew Good concert went ... it was AWESOME!
The first band wasn't bad, we just sat in the bleachers for that one. Then thunder stared, and the first few drops hit our hands. Once Turn Off the Stars (those oppening guys) finnished up, I decided I wanted to go take a look at the merchandice. So we took a walk to see some Tshirts.
It started to rain. Everyone stuck around, cus' the concert was under the plan "rain or shine". Then it started to pour. The concert coordinators told everyone to come back in 45 minuits as the following acts had to be delayed for safety reasons. So we decided to make for the relative safety and heat of the car. Then the gods took up an ocean and droped it on us. It was so bad that, in the words of Mark, we were "drowning while running". We lost the car, even though we were like 5 feet from it, because we couldn't see a thing. And of coarse, as soon as we got in, the rain stopped. Yay! So, soaked to the bone, we took a drive in to town for the local Timmies. Timmies was packed, though, so Mark started driving back towards the concert. He turned to us and asked if there were any objections to finnishing this thing we had started, saying he didn't want to force anyone to stay. We all agreed to see it through. So we clustered around the stage with the 50 to 100 other fans, trying to absorbe a little heat from our fellows. Matt ended up playing only a half an hour later than schedualled, and we got an hour and a quarter of pure Matt Good-ness. Amanda and I got nice and close to the front, and despite a few assholes (high and otherwise), had a blast.

So that was our Victoria Day Weekend Adventure, and here are a few words from our sponsors:

The sky was shining with silver light
the sun through clouds as dark as night
there to be baptised by the sky
heaven's trumpets loosened pealing cry

And under the crash of nature's sound
a little light would there be found
as fireworks creased the drunken sky
this brand new love made a happy sigh
